I am pleased to announce a brand new Acorn Parent Child class facilitated by the expert Waldorf Early Childhood educator, Elsa Arenas. Come join Senora Elsa, mornings from 9:30AM to 11:30AM, beginning this Saturday, February 7th, for child observation, tea and handwork.
In the first three years, children develop, the three fundamental capacities of being human: walking, talking, and awakening to their individuality. Through quiet observation, parents deepen their own intuitive knowledge and discover new ways of being with their children. Special attention is given to support the unfolding of motor abilities, social interactions, and problem solving skills.Classes will cover topics such as care and protection of the senses, rhythms and routines, sleep, health and nutrition. Questions which face parents today are explored in a spirit of inquiry and mutual respect. In contrast to today’s fast paced world, our parent-child classes support parents in creating a nurturing, rhythmic environment for their children.
