It’s hard to believe that we had our last day of Acorn Summer Session yesterday. 5 weeks of wonderful children getting to know each other, playing, making beautiful treasures, taking meadow walks and of course cooling down in the sprinkler.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of your families for entrusting your little oaks to our care. A big thank you to Mia Reed for her steadfast, warm and loving assistance to myself and the children.
As I look ahead, fall enrollment and meeting license requirements will be occupying much of my time. There are also puppet shows and open house opportunities in the planning stages. Look out for a tri-fold brochure that the wonderful Jeremy Dawkins is creating. Look for an article on new schools including the Acorn School in the Aug 3rd issue of the Blue Stone Press. Finally, there will be a link to beautiful photographs of a day at Acorn last week that I will share with you as soon as I get it. A deep bow to Steffen Thalemann for taking those!
On Sunday I will be heading out to Cape Cod for two weeks of much needed rest and quiet time with my family. Should anyone need to reach me, please email as I will be checking email regularly.
